This is my husband’s niece’s house.  As you notice, there is still a lot of snow on the ground because I took this picture of it last winter when my hubby and I visited them.  We stayed over at their place for two nights because we attended my hubby’s uncle’s 90th birthday party in Illinois.  It is a big house but there are only four people that live there.  They live in a quite and nice neighborhood surrounded by other nice houses.

I want to have this kind of office furniture.  The desk that I currently have is wearing out and needs to be replaced.  Actually my hubby also needs a new one.  Even though all of our office furniture is wearing out, it is still functional.  We would like to buy new furniture but it is not a priority at this time.  Hopefully if our finances look a little more promising soon, we will definitely buy new furniture.

I don’t have a health savings account nor do I medical insurance. I would like to have both of them but for now I can’t afford to have one. For instance, if I get sick, I will have to pay my medical bills out of my pocket. The only thing that I am doing to avoid getting sick and to keep myself healthy is by eating healthy food and exercising regularly.

Every May 2nd is my family reunion back in the Philippines. It is also the time for the village fiesta. I have heard from my siblings that they were planning to roast a pig. Only the three siblings, nephew, in-laws and my parents will be celebrating the reunion. There will be relatives there from both my parents sides. I was thinking about the celebration last night and it made me want to jump on the first flight back to the Philippines. I really want to be there but, unfortunately my hubby and I are not able to make it this time. I can’t help thinking about all of that tasty food that they are preparing right now and drool at the thought of it. I have asked my mother to remind my siblings to take pictures and send them to me. Life has been really full of surprises lately. I keep telling my hubby that life is hard. He keeps telling me back that I am learning what it is all about. I am stressed out today. Last night I received a phone call from my sister who was crying and upset. I don’t want to disclose the details of the story but it was also upsetting to me. It caused me to have a sleepless night last night. I kept thinking about the situation, but I still can’t figure out how to deal with it. I don’t want to cause problems in her relationships but when she asks me for help I can’t help but to respond honestly. She keeps asking for financial help but I think what she really needs is some good advice and then she needs to follow it. I don’t like to tell people how to run their lives but if they come to me for help I try to do the best I can to help them. Sometimes the help they really need is not what they are asking for.
