Natural Inflammation Relief
Filed under business, health & beautyJan 6My hubby has been having a lot of pain problems lately. The worst pain is in his lower back but also in his feet, legs and other areas of his body. The problem started last winter and kept getting worse until he ended up in the hospital in May. Since then he has been on heavy duty pain killers while his doctors were unable to properly diagnose or treat his condition. He was finally forced to diagnose the problem himself. When he finally figured it out, he started treating himself with antibiotics to kill the infection that had been destroying his body.
Now, his health condition is slowly improving but it might take a while before he can fully recover. He is still suffering from swelling and inflammation in his feet, ankles and especially his lower back. That is why we continue to search for something that can help him that doesn’t require a prescription.
I recently came across the product Nopalea and found out that it contains rare and potent antioxidants that have been scientifically proven to help reduce inflammation. It sounds like it will definitely be worth a try so I will have my hubby call them at 1-800-203-7063 to request a free sample. We will only have to pay $9.95 for shipping. Nopalea is made by a company that has been helping people achieve physical, emotional and spiritual wellness for 12 years.

Business Owner
Filed under home & garden, servicesJan 6Guest written by our friend Gladys Fuentes
Being a business owner is full of challenges but if you ask me it all pays off at the end of the day when you get to look in at what you’ve created for yourself. That’s how I feel at least about being the owner of a mid-sized company and I know it’s really rewarding knowing I found all of these great people jobs they love AND that I’m providing for my own family, too. I wish I knew of a way to better get ingrained in the community but I’m working on it – I’ve had my assistant busy with things like www.smallbusiness.xo.com and looking into a new HVAC system but as soon as she can I’m going to ask her to get involved for the office in some charitable stuff, you know, like 5Ks and things. I think it’s a great way to advertise but also to give back and that’s the kind of company we aim to be at the end of the day. It’s important everyone here knows we are on their side!

Join Pimp My Cube Contest
Filed under uncategorizedJan 1This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Contest Factory for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I ran across this Pimp My Cube Contest on the internet I thought “wow” this is a wonderful opportunity for my hubby to win the grand prize. It is all about making a humorous video about someone who has the messiest and lamest work cubicle. If it was based only on who had the messiest workspace, he would win hands down but part of it is also based on having old or obsolete computer equipment. He does have a pretty nice and powerful computer with a 24 inch LCD monitor in order to be able to do his engineering work. If it weren’t for that I would definitely enter him in the contest just to see if I couldn’t get someone to come in and clean up and organize his workspace.
If you or someone you know has a messy or geeky workspace that you have an idea where you could make a humorous video about it, you should definitely check out this contest. You could win a workspace makeover worth up to $1200 with your entry. You could win new high end computer system, furniture and an entertainment package with high end stereo, espresso machine etc. So, what are you waiting for? Check it out at Pimp My Cube site. The contest period is from 12/5/11 at 12:00PM to 1/31/12 at 12:00PM.

Did you know that you can make money selling your old and outdated cell phones? I found out about that recently but haven’t sold any yet. I have a few outdated cell phones and I am thinking about getting rid of them. I need to ask my hubby if I can recycle them for cash since we are not using them. Instead of letting them sit around and collecting dust, I would rather recycle them to put some cash in my pocket while preserving the environment at the same time.
There are a lot of cell phone recycling companies on the web and their prices vary for each handset. SellMyMobile is one of them. It is the UK’s number one recycler that offers the best prices possible on your old cell phones. You can get up to £400 for your old cell phone. Prices may vary from one website to another but you can count on SellMyMobile to give you the most and of course, while putting some cash in your pocket, you are also saving the environment by recycling valuable materials and not using them to pollute the environment at the same time. Instead of throwing your old and unwanted cell phones in landfill sites, releasing toxins into the environment as they deteriorate, you might just as well sell them for extra cash. Unless of course you don’t need extra cash.
More people use SellMyMobile to sell mobile phones than any other website because they always provide the best and most impartial comparison. That means that they will always give the most cash for your mobile phone. If you are looking for a place to sell your phone, go to SellMyMobile and compare prices from all the top companies. Some of the discarded phones can be refurbished and reused. That reduces the need for the manufacturing of new phones. Parts of the old phones are also used to make new ones.

Snapdragon Processors
Filed under computers & electronicsDec 24This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Snapdragon by Qualcomm for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I watched the San Diego Chargers Sunday night game against the Baltimore Ravens. That was when I found out that Qualcomm Stadium had been temporarily renamed as Snapdragon Stadium for approximately eleven days this holiday season, starting December 18th. I did not get the details of the naming until today. I found out that the temporary renaming was made to increase public awareness about Snapdragon processors that are the brains of many mobile devices. Aside from hosting the Chargers and the Ravens game last Sunday, this venue will also host the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on December 21st and the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl on December 28th.
The advertising value of this highly rated NFL game was said to be around $500,000. I guess the cost of this marketing campaign will be worth it because they are expecting thirty million viewers for all three games.
Qualcomm is doing this in celebration of its new application processors for smart phones called Snapdragon. Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm are the digital brains inside mobile devices made by 30 manufacturers including Samsung, LG, Nokia, HTC, to name just a few. Snapdragon technology can also be found in computer tablets and other computer devices. Snapdragon is going up against Intel and if more and more people are going to use smartphones, that makes them a great competitor for Intel.

Packers First Loss of the Season
Filed under sports & memorabiliaDec 20Wouldn’t you know it. Last time I blogged about football my hubby and I had gotten so frustrated with the Vikings that we decided to become Packers fans instead. Now that we started rooting for the Packers this week, wouldn’t you know it, they lost their first game. I feel like a curse on whoever I root for. My teams always seem to lose. My hubby keeps telling me not to get so depressed because it is only a game but I can’t help myself. Maybe I should quit rooting for all my favorite teams so they can keep winning, or in the case of the Vikings, start winning.
The Packers game was scheduled to be shown on our TV this week because the Vikings hadn’t sold out the stadium so they almost got blacked out. The remaining tickets ended up selling at the last minute so the Vikings game was shown instead of the Packers. It was no big surprise when the Vikings got hammered by the Saints, but it was a big surprise to hear that the Packers had lost. I guess their offensive line has gotten really banged up lately so the Kansas City defense was all over the Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, all game long. The Packers almost came back to win it in the last few minutes but fell just five points short of preserving their perfect season record.
Maybe it is better for their Super Bowl chances now since they will be able to rest and protect many of their starting players once they clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs. If they were still trying to preserve their perfect season record they would be very tempted to play Rodgers and other people who should be resting up for the beginning of the run toward the Super Bowl. They will need to be healthy and on top of their game because New Orleans and San Francisco are both playing really well right now.
