Pedal Steel Guitar

I would like to learn how to play a guitar. My father tried to teach me but for some reason I did not pick it up. Maybe it was because I was not using the right kind of guitar. I recently found out that it is better to use a certain kind of guitar when you are in the process of learning. The carter starter pedal steel guitar is the kind of guitar that is designed especially for students. Maybe that would help me learn how to play.

Football Season is Almost Over

There are only two games left in the current pro football season. The Pro Bowl is coming up this weekend and many of our favorite star players will be there. The only Minnesota Viking who made the Pro Bowl this year was Jared Allen and he won’t be doing much because they don’t let the quarterbacks get rushed like usual for fear they might get hurt. The Pro Bowl is usually pretty boring except for the interviews with all the star players. Sometimes if it is close, it gets a little competitive but usually not.

The Super Bowl, on the other hand, should be really exciting. It will be a rematch of a few years back between the Patriots and the Giants. In that game, the Giants ruined the Patriots chance for a perfect season so it is likely to be a good grudge match. We will be rooting for the Patriots to win this one but it sure would have been nice to see Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers repeat again this year.

I don’t know what happened to the Packers in their first playoff game against the Giants. Aaron Rodgers was off in his passing game and, to add insult to injury, his receivers dropped eight passes in that game. I don’t think they dropped many more than that in the whole regular season. It was really a strange day for the Packers.

We didn’t get invited to any Super Bowl parties this year so I guess we will be spending a quiet Super Bowl Sunday at home unless we get an invitation at the last minute. Actually I have never gotten invited to a Super Bowl party since I have been here. I guess none of the Filipina women that live around here and host most of the parties are not big football fans. Maybe, we should host a Super Bowl party next year. I am sure a lot of the husbands are big football fans, and who knows, maybe the Vikings will make it next year? Naaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh…..

Harley Davidson Parts & Accessories

Many years ago, my hubby bought a new motorcycle so he could go riding with his friends. One of his friends had a Harley Davidson and after riding with him for a while, my hubby got envious and wished that he had bought a Harley. The sound and style was unique to the Harley and he thought that if he ever bought another motorcycle it would probably be a Harley Davidson. Since we live here in northern Minnesota, the motorcycle riding season is rather short and he has not really been in the market for a new motorcycle lately.

We are starting to think about buying a second home in the Philippines now and if we did, a motorcycle would be a great way to get around because the cycling season is year round there. My hubby has been thinking more and more lately that if we do buy a house in the Philippines that we would probably buy a motorcycle also. I don’t know if he still wants to get a Harley Davidson or not but I know where he could get harley davidson accessories at great prices if we do decide to buy one. Actually I am not even sure if they sell Harley Davidsons over there because I have never seen one. Most of the motorcycles there are small bikes like the ones my parents have. We rode one of them around the last time we were there and it was really a lot of fun.

I usually use bubble mailers, especially when mailing DVDs. Most of the time I use bubble wrap when sending packages to friends and loved ones. My hubby has lots of packaging supply left overs from his engineering business. I have never used any packaging supplies other than his left overs but when we run out I might try Tulle for our packaging supply needs.
