My hubby and I just got back home from our road trip. We did not fly but for some reason I am feeling like I have jet lag. I have been sleeping and resting a lot since we arrived home last Saturday but I am still feeling lousy today. I have never had this kind of problem before when traveling locally. I should not feel like this because I got a good night sleep before driving five more hours back home.

I like to travel and explore different places whether it be here in the US or overseas. If money was not such a big factor I would have probably toured the world by now but since it is, I need to save up my money before I go on vacation. Speaking of vacation, I will be taking a vacation to the Philippines next month. I have already bought and packed everything that I am going to bring including my clothes and gifts for my family. The only thing that I haven’t bought yet is the plane ticket. My hubby says that he is going to buy my plane ticket soon. My hubby and I arrived home safe and sound last Saturday from our trip to Illinois. I am posting this kind of late because I have been feeling like I have jet lag because of all the traveling and staying at motels. I have been sleeping and resting a lot better since we got home. We planned to get home by around mid night or early morning of Saturday but we decided to stay at a motel in Wisconsin because of the blizzard warnings in western Minnesota and North Dakota.

We said our last goodbyes to my hubby’s uncle on Friday. This summer won’t be the same without him. His love of fishing brought him up here at least once every summer for quite a few years and we spent many hours out on the lake with him. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his kids.

I will have a long blogging day this week because my hubby and I have an upcoming trip to Illinois. We will be attending his uncle’s funeral. We will be leaving on Thursday morning to attend the visitation and then attend the funeral on Friday. It is going to be a long drive for us and I hope the weather stays good throughout the weekend. We will be driving home after the funeral. If it was summer, we would probably do some sightseeing in the windy city but not this time of the year.
