I love working for myself although it is tough sometimes that all the responsibility falls on me. I know people who own their own businesses that don’t have to work as much as they did at their traditional company before but unfortunately I’m not one of them – there’s just too much to do and not enough hours in the day. I had an intern come in last summer which has been really helpful…Sara’s able to organize everything in the office and research merchant-services and even make me coffee when I need it, all of which shave valuable seconds off the work clock when I need to be thinking about my clients. I wish I had known before I started what an uphill battle it would be but you know, at the end of the day you only get out of stuff what you put in. I think there’s something to be said for doing what you love and working really hard at it which is why I’m doing this! I love being the boss, in actuality.

My body is feeling achy and tired now.  I am thinking about taking a day off from blogging tomorrow.  I have been working hard and very busy on my blogs lately. It is a blessing because it means I am making some money but I don’t have much time to relax anymore.  I missed those days when my hubby and I used to have a few sips of alcohol before going to bed at night.  That can really make the inhibitions fade away.  Lately, we have gotten away from that.

We still have a few bottles of rum in the cup board but for some reason we haven’t had the taste for it lately.  We like to mix premium dark rum with a cola.  I feel like have a glass of rum while finishing up my blogging for today.  Though I occasionally drink, I am not familiar with the various brands of rum.  I will just drink whatever my hubby mixes for me.  He knows that I like sweet tasting stuff, so he makes sure that he buys rum that suits my taste.

My hubby saw a Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial on television and told me that he wanted to get some. He said that it has been quite a while since the last time we had any KFC. We decided that we would go to Kentucky Fried Chicken the next time we go to town. We will probably go to town later on today or tomorrow. It depends on the weather conditions. If it rains or snows, we may put it off because of the radiation scare. Nuclear radiation from Japan has already reached northern Minnesota and most other places in the US. It was reported on the five o’clock news and even before that my hubby already knew because he had been watching the forecasts.

We haven’t been out of the house for almost a week now. The increased radiation is not a big or immediate problem but the elevated levels over background can cause some problems in the long run. From a statistical standpoint any level of increased radiation will raise the chances of a person getting various forms of cancer or leukemia over the long run. While the radiation is still leaking out of the plant in Japan, it is best for people to avoid being outside in the rain or snow. That is when the most radiation will be falling from the sky. Radiation or not, we can’t stay inside forever and we need to go outside to get some fresh air and might as well grab some KFC while we are there.

My hubby and I went to town this afternoon. It was kind of a last minute decision. Our freezers were getting kind of empty so we stocked up on meat that was on sale. There was also a really good sale on cabbage so we bought a lot of that because it keeps well and the cabbages were really fresh. We live about twenty five miles from the nearest grocery store so we buy food in bulk when we go to town about once a week. That way we save money on gas and wear and tear on our car.

My hubby wants to go to town today and so I am going with him. I want to go out to get some fresh air even though we had just gone to town yesterday . I like to get out of the house as much as possible when it is not really cold. It is not warm either but at least it is above zero. I think it is about 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside right now.

My hubby forgot his grand daughter’s birthday yesterday so we have to go back to town to get her a birthday card and send it off. We also need a new printer so we probably buy one of them. It seems like we have to buy one every other year. Printers won’t last that long anymore. I am also planning to buy some steaks. I am craving for steaks. I think my hubby won’t mind me buying a couple of slices if the price is right. He is now back on a protein diet so we can have steak as much as we can afford.
