• Wood Cutting

  My hubby and I might start working on our wood cutting and splitting this weekend. We need to stack up wood for the winter for our wood burning stove. It is the main heating system that we use to heat our home now. We also have a propane gas furnace but it is much cheaper to burn wood. The first year we put in the wood burning stove it paid for itself by the money we saved on propane. We got a lot of logs from our friend last fall and we have enough left over from last winter to get us through another winter. We just need to cut and split the logs and then stack them in our foyer. I really like having a wood burning stove in the living room. It makes the long northern Minnesota winters more bearable when there is a fire to keep us warm and cozy.
